First Gen Week

First Generation Week at UHD is a celebration dedicated to honoring our trailblazing first-generation students, those who are the first in their families to pursue a college education. This week shines a light on the resilience, determination, and ambition these students bring to our university community. Throughout the week, we’ll host events designed to support, inspire, and celebrate our first-gen students, connecting them with resources, mentors, and peers who share their unique journey. From engaging workshops and inspirational talks and special social gatherings, each day provides opportunities to build community and foster personal and academic growth. Join us as we recognize and uplift the voices and achievements of our first-gen Gators, celebrating their invaluable contributions to UHD and beyond!
